NEUMA was formed in 2001 by musicians formerly playing in KOBONG: Wojciech SZYMAŃSKI (drums), lyrics, Bogdan KONDRACKI (bass, vocals), Maciej MIECHOWICZ (guitar). Because the debut album was made without KOBONG?s guitarist Robert SADOWSKI, the band decided to change the bandname to NEUMA. In 2004 NEUMA enlisted a new bass player Tomek KRZEMIŃSKI for the Tarariktarak Tour.
In 2006, Neuma released their second album Weather with new drummer Karol LUDEW and Alek Korecki on sax. The band describes their music as heavy trance riffs, charismatic vocals, and colorful patches of sound, clashing with a sharp polyrhythm; modern music of XXI century.
