Sprung Aus Den Wolken
Berlin - based Sprung Aus Den Wolken were part of the “Geniale Dilletanten”- movement in the early 80’s along with Blixa Bargeld of Einstürzende Neubauten and M.D.K. Their music is typically minimalistic industrial music.
The band's name is German for "Jump from the Clouds." The origin of this title is unknown, however it should be known that the phrase was the title of a 1963 board game, although the possibility that it is a German idiom or simply just made up should not be ruled out either. Also, "Sprung aus den Wolken" was the title of the German broadcasts of Ripcord (TV series) in the 1960s.
They made a couple of records on their own Faux Pas and Les Disques Du Soleil Et De L’Acier. Their song “Pas Attendre” was used on Wim Wenders’ “Wings of Desire” movie and became some kind of underground hit. Founder Kiddy Citny is also a painter. His paintings on the Berlin Wall have been exhibited through the world and are now in private collections in the USA, France, and Japan.
