SHXCXCHCXSH is a mysterious Berlin-based duo originally hailing from the industrial Swedish city of Norrköping. Formed with the intent to explore the darker and more experimental realms of techno, SHXCXCHCXSH’s bleak and meticulously detailed sonic palette blends elements of noise, drone, glitch, broken beats and pounding industrial into abrasive textures with brief respites of blissful ambient soundscape. Having found a home on Shifted’s equally murky Avian imprint, the enigmatic duo released their third album in as many years in 2016. Aptly titled, ‘SsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSs’ rolling matrix of white noise and wrought iron percussion establishes SHXCXCHCXSH as one of the most unique projects in today’s electronic underground.
